DENVER — Denver Police say at least three people were injured during an early morning shooting at a house party near 51st Place and Biscay Street.
They say a Denver Police officer fired their weapon at a person who they believe was holding a gun, though they have not been able to locate that person.
Denver Police Department Chief Ron Thomas a large fight was called into 911 around 2 a.m. Sunday, in the Denver neighborhood.
After officers arrived at the scene, they heard an exchange of gunfire.
“They then moved towards that gunfire and saw several people running. They identified an individual who had a weapon. They challenged that individual. He did not drop the gun. He continued to be a threat so an officer I believed fired the shots at that individual,” said Denver Police Chief Ron Th
