COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Colorado Springs police shut down a busy intersection and arrested a man Sunday afternoon.
They said a patient had attacked a paramedic and tried to jump off a bridge.
11 News viewers reached out, saying they noticed the first responder presence in the area.
Police said they were called out to Briargate Parkway, near the Powers intersection, around 3 p.m. Sunday. They said it was a call for help by medical personnel.
Police said a patient had attacked a paramedic before trying to commit suicide by jumping off the Powers Boulevard bridge. Police said this forced them to shut down southbound Powers and eastbound Briargate Parkway.
CSPD said officers were able to talk the patient down and take him into custody.
