STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — One person was transported to Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze early Sunday morning following a three-car motor vehicle crash on the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge, according to FDNY.

The crash rear-end collision occurred on the eastbound lower-level lanes of the span around 12:09 a.m., the MTA confirmed.

The condition of the injured individual was not immediately available, according to FDNY.
