HILTON HEAD, S.C. (WSAV) - The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) is investigating a shooting that took place early Sunday morning in Hilton Head.

Around 1:30 on Sunday morning, the BCSO Communications center received reports of a gunshot victim in the area of South Forest Beach Drive on Hilton Head. A 17-year-old male victim was found on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound and was transported to a medical facility to receive treatment for his injuries.

During the investigation, deputies learned that the suspects fled in a vehicle. The description of the vehicle was given out to other deputies.

A vehicle was spotted matching the description of the suspect vehicle and an attempt was made to pull the vehicle over. During all this, the vehicle attempted to flee from deputies but
