MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis police responded to an early Sunday morning shooting that left one man dead, and one person in police custody.
Officers responded to a shooting in the 2400 block of Dwight Road, near Airways Blvd. around 2 a.m.
Police say the shooting was an attempted robbery, and a male suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.
A man was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he later died. Police say the man who died was also suspect in the attempted robbery.
Officers took another person into custody and say this is an ongoing investigation.
