DETROIT — Minnesota Vikings edge rusher Andrew Van Ginkel will be back on the field for Sunday's divisional matchup with the Detroit Lions.

The Second-Team All-Pro has only played in two games this season because of a neck injury, but has still recorded two sacks on just 69 defensive snaps. Van Ginkel was dealing with the neck injury throughout training camp, and then suffered a concussion in the season opener that he said reaggravated the neck issue.

He played against Cincinnati in Week 3, but was only on the field for eight snaps. His return will be a major boost for a defense that has allowed 65 points over the last two weeks.
