Multiple agencies and emergency crews rescued a person having a medical emergency while hiking a gorge in Fall Creek Falls State Park Saturday afternoon.
The Piney Volunteer Fire Department said in a social media post that state park rangers quickly responded to the call for help and located the patient about 1,000 feet down creek from the Cable Trail. Close

More teams with the Dunlap Fire Department, Pikeville Fire Department, and Doyle Volunteer Fire Department arrived on scene to safely move and treat the patient.
When they determined more manpower and technical rescue assistance was needed for extrication, the Signal Mountain Fire Department, Waldens Ridge Emergency Service, Putnam County Rescue Squad and Warren County EMS & Rescue responded to the scene.
