PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A shooting in Portland's Pearl District neighborhood left two people hospitalized early Sunday morning, police said.
Just after 2:30 a.m., officers responded to the area of Northwest 9th Avenue and Couch Street on reports of shots fired.
Arriving at the scene, they found a female victim with a gunshot wound on her leg. After officers applied a tourniquet, she was taken to a hospital by ambulance, police said.
Officers were then notified of a male victim who was taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound, finding he had also been injured at the same location.
Police say both victims are expected to survive.
Any possible suspect or suspects had left the area before police arrived and no arrests have been made, officials say.
