PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A man was arrested after allegedly shooting and killing his stepfather inside an apartment in east Phoenix on Saturday night.
Just before 9 p.m., first responders were dispatched to the area of 37th Street and McDowell Road on reports of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found 58-year-old William Christopher Baumgardner inside the apartment with apparent gunshot wounds. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died.
Investigators say the shooting started as an argument between Baumgardner and his 34-year-old stepson, Bradley Alan Gibson.
During the argument, Baumgardner confronted Gibson, who then shot Baumgardner and left the scene. Gibson later returned to the scene and turned himself in to the authorities.
Police executed a search warran
