AUBURN — Hugh Freeze has been fired as Auburn football 's head coach, on Sunday, Nov. 2 , according to multiple reports, less than three full seasons into his tenure.
Freeze, 56, was fired one day after Auburn suffered its fifth SEC loss, failing to find the end zone in a 10-3 defeat to Kentucky. The Tigers were a double-digit favorite, and the upset dropped Freeze's SEC record at Auburn to 6-16, as well as 2-10 at home against Power 4 competition.
