Former Alabama head coach Mike Shula is out as offensive coordinator at South Carolina, head coach Shane Beamer announced Sunday.
The move comes a day after the Gamecocks totaled just 197 yards of offense in a 30-14 loss to Ole Miss. South Carolina (3-6) currently ranks last in the 16-team SEC in scoring offense (19.7 points per game), total offense (294.1 yards per game), rushing offense (100.8 ypg) and 15 th in passing offense (164.8 ypg).
The 60-year-old Shula was in his first season as South Carolina’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, after serving as an offensive analyst in 2024. He was elevated to OC by Beamer after Dowell Loggains left to become head coach at Appalachian State.
