USC has fired Gamecock football offensive coordinator Mike Shula, Coach Shane Beamer announced Sunday.

South Carolina has lost four straight games after being ranked in the top 15 nationally to start the season. Shula's offense is averaging less than 300 yards per game, among the worst in the nation.

The Gamecocks are averaging just 19.7 points per game, their worst since 2002.

Shula joined the staff in 2024 as a consultant and was promoted to offensive coordinator after Dowell Loggains left to accept the head coach position at Appalachian State.

Shula previously served as head coach at Alabama form 2003-06 and as an NFL assistant coach.

The Gamecocks (3-6, 1-6 SEC) have an open date this week before playing at No. 3 Texas A&M on November 15.
