Detroit — Through 21 career games, Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold had yet to find his first interception.

But he did Sunday, in about as big a first-half spot as you'll see this season, against Minnesota Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy.

With the Vikings looking to add to their 17-14 lead before half — Minnesota is also set to receive the second-half kickoff — Arnold stole the ball away from Vikings receiver Jalen Nailor at the 39-yard line of Minnesota with 0:47 left in the second quarter.

Officials convened to determine who ended the play with possession, and deemed it was Arnold who came away with it. That ended up being important, because when they went to the monitor, they were not able to confirm who came away with the ball but instead stuck with the call on the field
