Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Praful Pansheriya chaired a meeting with senior officials of the Health Department in Gandhinagar on Saturday to discuss ways to prevent spread of water-borne and air-borne diseases owing to unseasonal rainfall in the state.
Pansheriya, in an official release issued on Sunday, stated that due to unseasonal rainfall there is a high possibility of spread of diseases such as dengue, chikungunya, malaria and typhoid.
The health facilities available in every PHC, CHC and government hospital have been provided with sufficient stock of medicines to control these diseases, he said.
