The contest between the Green Bay Packers and the Carolina Panthers may not be a classic, but a stray beach ball may have injected some excitement into it at last.

With the Packers leading 3-0 with 4:57 remaining in the second quarter and the Panthers bearing down on the end zone with a 1st & 10 from the 21-yard line, the wind at Lambeau Field blew a beach ball right into the line of scrimmage.

With very little action coming from both offenses throughout the first half, with the Packers recording 184 total yards, and the Panthers just 149, fans took to social media to make jokes about the beach ball instead.

"That’s an ejection," one fan joked on X (formerly Twitter).

"Most exciting thing I’ve seen in a Panthers game in 2 years," another wrote.
