HALIFAX, N.C. (WNCN) -- Officials in Halifax County said three people were injured in an ATV accident in the western area of the county on Saturday.
Two people were airlifted for treatment, and one person was taken by ambulance to a hospital after the accident at an ATV park in the Hollister area, according to a Halifax County Sheriff's Office news release.
The sheriff's office released the information along with four photos just before 7:10 p.m.
The images show two medical helicopters landing and taking off in an open field. One helicopter was from ECU Health, while the other was a Duke Life Flight unit.
The flights appeared to take off around sunset Saturday.
"Praying for those involved in ATV accident at the ATV park in Hollister," a Facebook post from the sheriff's office said.
