CABELL COUNTY, W.Va . (WSAZ) - Nov. 1 is the first day of the suspension of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. It is leaving people across the region wondering where their next meal is coming from.

As the second-longest government shutdown in US history continues, families have been bracing for the suspension of the SNAP-- affecting more than 250,000 West Virginians.

Even with federal judge’s ruling those benefits must be paid, it’s unclear exactly when that will happen.

With many food pantries across the region seeing an uptick in families. They will have the supplies to get food straight to your tables.
