MTV is pulling the plug on its long-running viral video show “Ridiculousness” after 14 years and a staggering 46 seasons on air. The network has confirmed that the current season will be the show’s last, bringing an end to a series that has produced nearly 1,700 episodes.
The cancellation comes as part of a broader strategic shift for MTV. According to a source who spoke with Variety , the network plans to pivot toward “a more curated slate of content that embraces its experimental DNA.”
TMZ reports that insiders describe network leadership as focused on “reimagining MTV for the future” by exploring new voices and programming formats.
