David Henry Miller, better known as Frog to locals , left a lasting legacy in Eugene. Now, that legacy has been memorialized with a new plaque established one year after his death .
Known for peddling his quirky joke books starting in the 1980s, Frog became a standout character in Eugene. His popular haunts included the Eugene Saturday Market, the Holiday Market, the WOW Hall, the Oregon Country Fair and on 13th Avenue near the University of Oregon campus. Over the years, Frog self-published over 100 different editions of his joke books, charging $3 for adult editions and $2 for children's editions.
