A federal judge issued a preliminary injunction Nov. 2 that continues a block preventing the Trump administration from deploying the National Guard to Portland through 5 p.m. Nov. 7.
The decision by U.S. District Court Judge Karin Immergut comes after a three-day trial between Oregon, Portland, California and the Trump administration, which included witness testimony and focused on whether the protests outside Portland's ICE facility necessitated the administration's federalization and deployment of the National Guard.
