WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) -- Rock of Grace Church in Downtown Warren held a ribbon-cutting Sunday for a brand new playground.

It's located at 420 North Street NW. Church members funded the project, which was in the works for about two years.

Organizers said they wanted a safe place where children and their families can connect.

"We recognized that the neighborhood just needed a safe place to play, and so we began praying and just asking God, 'What can we do to help?' And so, he laid this playground on our hearts, and through the generosity of our people at both our churches, we were able to purchase it and install it over the last, I don't know, seven, eight weeks, kind of every weekend, just doing a little bit here and there," said Campus Pastor Andrew Pitts.
