SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — A man was hospitalized after being stabbed at a convenience store located in the 1800 block of Sherwood Way on Sunday, Nov. 2, reported SAPD.

The call came at 8:27 a.m., and officers responded to the scene after already being in the area investigating a separate incident down the street. Those officers were among the first to respond to the unknown problem at the convenience store, and upon arrival, they learned that the suspect had fled the scene.

Officers located a 44-year-old male victim "suffering from apparent stab wounds" and immediately began medical care, as reported by SAPD. The San Angelo Fire Department then transported the victim to Shannon Medical Center. He is currently listed in stable condition.
