CINCINNATI, Ohio — The Cincinnati Bengals for the second week in a row suffered a defensive meltdown in the final minutes.
Despite getting the lead in the final minute vs. the Bears, the Bengals gave up a 58-yard touchdown pass from Caleb Williams to Colston Loveland with just 17 seconds left in a 47-42 home loss .
The defeat was their sixth in their last seven games and has them entering their bye at 3-6.
“I can’t believe it, can’t believe it. It’s right there and then we just don’t find a way to get it done and win a game,” Bengals coach Zac Taylor told reporters in his postgame press conference. The frustration in his voice was palpable as he continued, “We just got to make one play, just one play. And some of these losses turn into wins.”
