Temperatures climbed to 83 degrees Sunday afternoon at Denver International Airport, the hottest November high on record for the city, according to the National Weather Service.

The afternoon heat beat Denver’s previous November record of 81 degrees, which was set on Nov. 27, 2017, according to the weather service .

Denver’s 83-degree high also broke the city’s daily heat record, according to weather service data . The previous Nov. 2 record of 78 degrees was set in 2008.

Temperatures in Denver are expected to dip back down into the high 60s and low 70s for the rest of the week, with windy weather forecast through Tuesday afternoon, weather service forecasters said .

No rain or snow is forecast for the city in the coming week, and Denver is still waiting to see its first snowfall
