KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — One Knoxville SC is making history Sunday night, hosting the first playoff game at covenant health park. 6 News talked to fans about the excitement surrounding the game, and what it means to welcome a playoff match to their new home field.

One Knoxville is taking on Charlotte Independence in round one of the USL League One playoffs. This comes after the team earned their first professional trophy in the club's four-year history, finishing as the top team in the USL League One regular season. That success clinched their right to host, and they remain undefeated at the new stadium-with nine wins and four draws.

"It is absolutely amazing to host a playoff game not only in this brand-new stadium, but in our fourth year as a team. We are so excited,” said Tony Schnad
