The San Francisco 49ers improved to 6-3 with a 34-24 win over the New York Giants on Sunday, and star running back Christian McCaffrey is a big reason why.
The former NFL Offensive Player of the Year accounted for 173 yards of total offense (106 rushing, 67 receiving) and two total touchdowns to carry the 49ers to their NFC West-leading sixth win of the season and make a bit of NFL history in the process.
McCaffrey, who entered Week 9 second in the league in receptions (56), ninth in receiving yards (559), and 13th in rushing yards (490), logged his second 100-yard rushing game of the season and his eighth game with 50 or more receiving yards.
