New Delhi : The air quality in the national capital remains in the ‘very poor’ category, with the overall Air Quality Index (AQI) at 324 on Monday morning. A thick layer of smog blankets the entire city, while the temperature hovers around 18° Celsius. Stage II of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) is still in effect due to the persistent ‘very poor’ air quality.
There has been a slight improvement from the previous day, with the AQI in most areas falling below the 400 mark. The areas with the highest AQI readings include Alipur (354), Anand Vihar (371), Bawana (371), Burari Crossing (384), Chandni Chowk (354), Narela (386), Rohini (363), Sonia Vihar (359), Vivek Vihar (386), and Wazirpur (389), according to the Central Pollution Control Board’s (CPCB) Sameer app.
