New facility offers free chemotherapy for all cancer types, easing financial strain and reducing patient load at Kidwai Hospital

In a major relief to cancer patients, the CV Raman General Hospital in Bengaluru has introduced a free day-care chemotherapy facility for all types of cancer. The initiative is part of a government partnership with Sanjeevini Private Hospital , under which chemotherapy will be administered to patients after their first dose at the hospital where they are undergoing cancer treatment.

The hospital has reserved ten beds—five for men and five for women—exclusively for chemotherapy patients. To ensure smooth functioning, one physician, two staff nurses, and one Group D employee have been appointed specifically for the unit. Chemotherapy medicines are being suppl
