Citizens demand scrutiny of records, transparent process to verify authenticity before granting regularisation to properties, especially those under litigation

The much-publicised and awaited scheme of issuing A Khatas to B Khata properties was launched from November 1 on the eve of Kannada Rajyotsava. The Deputy Chief Minister described it as a Rajyotsava gift for citizens of Bengaluru. However, the scheme, without proper precautions, is expected to cause immense loss to genuine property owners who have been running pillar to post to free their properties from land mafia and fraudulent land developers.
