The Supreme Court will hear the case of stray dogs on Monday. During this, the Chief Secretaries of all states and union territories, except West Bengal and Telangana, have been summoned.
Earlier, on October 31, a bench of Justice Vikram Nath and Justice Sandeep Mehta had rejected the plea seeking exemption for the Chief Secretaries of states and union territories from appearing in person.
Justice Nath over the matter had said, "When we ask the Chief Secretaries to file an affidavit, they remain silent on it. There is no respect for our order. So fine, let them come. We will deal with them."
