JEROME COUNTY, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — A portion of westbound Interstate 84 is back open after a two-vehicle crash on Sunday evening.
An Idaho State Police trooper on scene said the crash involved a pickup truck and a sedan in the westbound lanes at Exit 173 just before 6 p.m.
The scale of the crash and potential injuries are unknown at this time. Siren lights stretched across westbound Interstate 84 as crews responded.
The crash led to ISP temporarily shutting down the westbound lanes, forcing incoming traffic to divert and re-enter the interstate via Exit 173 to navigate around the crash. Troopers also shut down the westbound on-ramp.
All westbound lanes are now back open. The Jerome County Sheriff’s Office and the Jerome Rural Fire District also responded to the crash.
