Former India captain Diana Edulji was proud as the Indian women’s cricket team won their first-ever ICC Women’s World Cup on Sunday.

The Indian women’s cricket team made history by clinching its first-ever World Cup with a 52-run victory over South Africa, adding a golden chapter to the nation’s sporting achievements.

“I just have no words to explain. This is the proudest moment of my life. 50 years of my being on the cricket field as a player and an administrator. I am just absolutely thrilled, and I would like to congratulate the girls. They’ve done a wonderful job. They’ve worked hard for it. I’ve been happy. What I wanted to see, that star on the jersey, it’s now come true and it’s a proud moment for me," Diana Edulji was quoted as saying by PTI.
