SPENCER, Tenn. (WSMV) - A person was rescued using a helicopter after reportedly suffering a medical emergency at Fall Creek Falls State Park, according to the Piney Volunteer Fire Department.
Crews were dispatched to Fall Creek Falls State Park just after 2 p.m. on Saturday for reports of a person suffering a medical emergency down the creek below the Cable Trail.
Park rangers quickly responded and found the person around 1,000 feet down the creek from the Cable Trail.
When PVFD crews arrived, they immediately began medical assistance. More agencies were also called to assist at the scene after it was determined that more manpower and technical assistance was needed for the rescue.
