3Lynwood, CA – A mother and father are facing serious charges after their eight-year-old son was discovered dead in a cooler filled with ice. Destiny Harrison, 25, and Daniel Monzon, 25, were arrested alongside the boy’s grandmother, Ana Carcamo Zarceno, 45, in connection with the alleged abuse.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney announced the charges, which include murder, torture, and child abuse resulting in death. Monzon and Zarceno also face additional charges for being accessories after the fact.

Three other children, ages 16, 13, and nine months, were also removed from the home by the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services. These siblings are currently in protective custody.
