NORFOLK, Va. — On Sunday evening, family and friends of Shakira Clark gathered in Norfolk for a celebration of life.

Clark is the 23-year-old woman Norfolk Police found dead in her home on Oct. 27 after responding to a call of a domestic incident.

Over 100 people, loved ones and local domestic violence advocacy groups met outside Norfolk Scope Arena to honor Shakira Clark, a life many tell 13News Now was taken too soon.

Clark was granted a protective order against Keandre Debrough on Oct. 1.

The protective order expired after five days, and three weeks later Norfolk police found Clark unresponsive in her home on Brambleton Avenue near St. Paul's Boulevard.
