OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WLOX) - In one week, artists from the coast and all over will be showing off their best pieces at the 47th annual Peter Anderson Arts and Crafts Festival.
For one artist in particular, this is a special year.
Ginger Woechan calls Ocean Springs home, but this is the first time in 20 years she’s returned to her hometown.
Having grown up in a military family, Woechan moved to a lot of different places. One of those places was Ocean Springs.
Her family planted roots in the city of discovery shortly before Hurricane Katrina hit the coast. At the time, Woechan was studying at LSU and got the call that her family home was underwater.
