TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) —The United States returned to standard time this weekend, reigniting debate over whether the country should end its practice of changing clocks twice a year.

Since 1974, Americans have switched between daylight saving time and standard time, but growing frustration has many questioning the continued need for the practice.

“Yeah, I would prefer that it just stayed like Arizona, just the single time forever. And it doesn’t do us any good. Nobody benefits by it. And it’s inconvenient,” said Jim Grigsby, a local resident.

The difficulty of adjusting to time changes has become a common complaint among residents.
