SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Spurs lost to the Phoenix Suns 130-118, snapping their five-game winning streak. Stephon Castle led the Spurs with 26 points and five assists.
Victor Wembanyama finished with nine points, four blocks and 4-14 shooting. He was held to just two points in the opening half, marking the fewest points he’s scored in a half this season.
Rookie Carter Bryant had 10 points. Devin Vassell added four, Keldon Johnson finished with 19 and rookie Dylan Harper (12 points) exited the game in the first half due to a calf injury. He did not return to the game. Harrison Barnes added 13.
The Spurs are 5-1 and will next visit the Lakers on Wednesday night.
