Synopsis : A 19-year-old woman was allegedly pushed out of a moving Kerala Express near Varkala. The incident occurred in the train’s general compartment while it was heading to Thiruvananthapuram. The woman remains in critical condition.

A 19-year-old woman was allegedly pushed out of a moving Kerala Express near Varkala late on Sunday, 2 November. The incident occurred in the train’s general compartment while it was heading to Thiruvananthapuram.

Sreekutty alias Sonu, the 19-year-old from Peyad in Thiruvananthapuram, remains in critical condition at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital.

Varkala MLA V Joy said that the woman was rescued and brought to Varkala by a MEMU train. As the location was inaccessible to ambulances, the MEMU was stopped to transport the injured woman.
