A horrific road accident claimed the lives of at least 17 people in Rangareddy district of Telangana as a tipper lorry carrying gravel hit an RTC bus near Chvella and overturned. Rescue operations are ongoing at the scene with JCBs. The injured are being taken to a local hospital for treatment, and the condition of many of teh passengers is presently critical. The incident took place in the early hours of Monday morning at Mrijaguda in Chevella mandal.

The express bus, belonging to the Tandur depot, was heading to Hyderabad when a tipper carrying a load of gravel sped past and ended up hitting the bus.
