Fire, police and ambulances are heading towards a crash on the A380 between Newton Abbot and Exeter following a crash which is understood to involve five cars.

According to traffic and travel site Inrix, the report came in at 7.42am this morning [November 3] and stated that the northbound stretch of the A380 was "partially blocked due to accident".

The site states that "five cars" were involved in the incident between Wapperwell at Ideford to B3192 Colley Lane at the Ashcombe and Teignmouth turn off.

Inrix has stated that "emergency services on route".

Long tailbacks of rush hour traffic is understood to already be forming and side roads around the area are also being affected
