As the start of the early signing period nears, Alabama football is doing something no other team has been able to do in the 2026 class.
The Crimson Tide has more five-star commits than any other, two of which have come from inside its own state. In the past two classes, four teams − Texas and Georgia in 2025, and Georgia and Alabama in 2024 − have reached five five-star commits in a single class by signing day. The Crimson Tide landed seven five-star players in 2023.
But for Alabama football, those five-star players are not where the treasures lie.
