Nagpur : The long-pending establishment of the Maharashtra State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) Battalion No. 5 at Isasani in the Katol–Narkhed constituency has finally received a major boost, with the state government approving ₹58.86 crore for infrastructure development. The confirmation came from NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) leader Salil Deshmukh, who has been actively pursuing the proposal with the state administration.
Deshmukh shared that the project—originally proposed by former Home Minister Anil Deshmukh—had been stalled for years due to funding delays. “After persistent follow-up with the Maharashtra Police Housing and Welfare Corporation, the government has now sanctioned ₹58.86 crore for constructing the administrative building, residential quarters, and other essential facilities
