Nagpur : The Nagpur Cyber Police have launched a probe into a major online share trading fraud in which a 61-year-old resident of Congress Nagar was duped of over Rs 1 crore. Acting swiftly on the complaint, police have already frozen a portion of the defrauded money and initiated a detailed technical investigation.

According to police sources, the complainant alleged that a group of unidentified cyber fraudsters lured him with promises of high returns through online share trading. The accused convinced him to invest through various bank accounts and mobile numbers, collecting a total of around Rs 1.08 crore. However, after receiving the funds, they neither returned the principal amount nor provided any profit.
