Wolverhampton Wanderers begin their search for a new manager today, with Middlesbrough ’s Rob Edwards being strongly linked with the role.

The Athletic reported on Sunday that the Boro boss is a ‘prominent candidate’ for the role at Molineux. Edwards made over 100 appearances for the club as a player and then started his coaching career with the Black Country club too.

But, as things stand, Boro aren’t understood to have had any contact from Wolves, and it’s very much business as usual as preparations continue for the trip to Leicester City. Edwards will have the chance to address the speculation on Monday.

The Boro boss will hold his pre-match Leicester City press conference at Rockliffe Park at 12.45 pm, before he and the players then make the trip to Leicester ahead of Tuesday
