Derby County will assess Dion Sanderson ahead of tomorrow night's clash against Hull City after he overstretched a hip muscle in the win over Sheffield United.

Sanderson could be seen talking to the medical staff at half-time of the 3-1 win, but played on as Derby secured a third successive Championship victory.

The on-loan Birmingham City centre-back produced another excellent performance as a hat-trick from Carlton Morris bagged all three points.

Eustace revealed that Sanderson had picked up a problem during the game, but said it epitomised the defender's character that he wanted to keep playing.

"He was obviously okay to continue, but we will have to wait and see how he is for Tuesday," he said.

"He had overstretched his hip muscle, and that was worrying.
