SHARON Residential natural gas customers in northwestern Pennsylvania, including those in Mercer County, are seeing a decrease in their monthly bills.
National Fuel Gas Distribution Corporation announced the quarterly adjustment to its gas supply charges, which it filed with the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission. The change is primarily a result of lower market prices for natural gas, the company said in a news release.
The new adjustment will decrease the bill for a typical residential customer with an annual usage of 96,500 cubic feet of gas by $2.01, moving the average monthly cost from $87.78 to $85.77. National Fuel passes supply costs directly to customers without markup or profit.
The company's price-to-compare gas commodity charge will also decrease to $.54463 per 100 cub
