Chatsworth got a look at the 2026 draft budget last week, which includes a proposed 7.6 per cent tax rate increase.
Council reviewed the budget on Wednesday, which would see the average single detached home owners pay an additional $194, while the average farm property owner would pay $54.
Staff are proposing just under $6.9 million in capital spending.
Some of the major capital projects featured in the budget include road work, waste diversion, and replacing firefighting gear.
Several budget meetings are planned over the next few months before the township aims to adopt the budget in March, 2026.
