A man was left needing hospital treatment after suffering a stab wound to his chest, police have confirmed.
Plymouth police were alerted to the incident in Mildmay Street at around 2.50pm on Saturday, November 1 following a report a male had suffered a stab wound to the chest – possibly from a screwdriver.
It was reported the man had been stabbed following an incident in Hospital Road during which a number of people were present and a sword was also brandished. Several police vehicles were seen in the area on Saturday afternoon as inquiries were carried out., along a vehicle from Devon Air Ambulance's Critical Care Team.
