Good friendships are as important to life as breathing. They offer us perspectives and guidance.

But not all friendships are good. Years ago, I restored a film of a smiling Adolf Hitler shaking the hands of excited young children. Knowing what I had previously learned visiting the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington D.C., I feared that many children, perhaps those from both Jewish and non-Jewish families, and possibly from the images I was working on were eventually sent to gas chambers operated under the Nazi extermination policy.
